More than 300 members of the MCCS Albany community gathered to celebrate at the End of Summer Carnival on Saturday, Sept. 7. Despite the school year kicking off just a few weeks ago, the event provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy one final summer hurrah before autumn's arrival.

Attendees of all ages flocked to a variety of attractions and activities. The carnival's centerpiece, a charming train ride around Covella Pond, offered a moment of respite amid the lively atmosphere. Afterward, families were drawn to nearby games like balloon darts and mini hoops, sparking friendly competition. Thrill-seekers weren't disappointed either, with the massive 90-foot Super Slide proving a hit among children and adults, while the Rock Wall challenged climbers to reach new heights. For those craving a unique challenge, an interactive surfboard simulator tested their balance and coordination. The wide array of attractions ensured there was something to captivate every carnival-goer, from the laid-back to the adventure-seeking.

"The End of Summer Carnival exemplifies what MCCS Albany is all about – bringing everyone together for memorable experiences. Events like these strengthen the bonds within our community and give us all a chance to create lasting memories. We're grateful for the opportunity to support the families and look forward to our next opportunity at the Spooktoberfest," said Craig Pruett, MCCS Albany Director.

As the day ended, it was clear that the event had achieved its goal. It perfectly blended fun, excitement, and family time, creating an atmosphere of joy and community spirit. It marked the ideal conclusion to the summer season, leaving attendees with smiles on their faces, and happy memories to carry them into fall.
