MCCS Summer Reading Program

Online registration begins: May 1, 8:30AM
Log reading minutes: June 1, 9AM through July 31, 9PM
MCCS Summer Reading Program Kick-off: May 21, 5-7PM
Who can participate: All authorized patrons.
Challenges available for:
- Children ages 0-4
- Children ages 5-11
- Teens ages 12-17
- Adults ages 18+
You must register and log reading minutes online. Final reading minutes must be logged online by 9PM on Friday, July 31, 2026, to qualify for the reading prizes.
Guidelines and Rules:
• Register for the MCCS Summer Reading Program online at https://mclbalbany.beanstack.com
• All reading counts regardless of the medium of the materials.
• Reading aloud to your children counts toward both your and their reading time.
• Make sure to log time individually for each person.
• All level prizes (kids, teens, and adults) are earned during the MCCS Summer Reading Program for the number of minutes you read. Substitutions will be made without notice as prizes run out.
