Bring a M4L Rep on Your Transition Journey
Marine for Life Network (M4L) Representatives are the heart of the program.
These reservists are passionate about assisting Marines, veterans, and their families. M4L Reps are embedded in communities throughout the United States and build and sustain networks of Marine-friendly employers and local resources.
They wear many different hats as M4L Reps, but their goal is to connect Marines and family members to relevant resources that support their personal and professional goals after service.
Capt. Josh Browning, a transitioning Marine, received assistance from M4L Representative Lt. Col. Thomas Leahy.
“First and foremost, I want to say thank you. The fact that this outlet exists to benefit transitioning Marines is why I became a Marine: camaraderie,” Browning said. “Immediately upon requesting access via LinkedIn, I received Lt. Col. Leahy’s request to speak. The process was transparent and seamless. That is exactly what a Marine who has no clue what to do or where to start in their job search needs to get the ball rolling.”
He appreciated the mentorship offered by his rep. “Whether giving excellent advice on transitioning and milestones associated, providing contacts to network or to listen to stressors, the mentorship is genuine, concise, and greatly appreciated,” Browning said.
“Every Marine I meet that transitions or that I interview for their [end of active service], I tell about M4L and share my successful interactions with Lt. Col. Leahy,” Browning said. “In all honesty, every Marine I tell gets excited and says they will sign up I cannot force them to, but I just hope they do it.”
The Marine for Life Network cannot promise a Marine or family member a job, but through our network of M4L Representatives we can connect you to valuable resources to support your continued success.
