Trunk or Treat

MCCS will host its annual Trunk or Treat event at Lanham Field on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5-7:30 pm. (rain date Friday, Oct. 25).

• All authorized patrons are welcome to attend the event with no need to register. 

If you would like to decorate one or more trunks, please review the information below and complete the registration form by Monday, Oct. 21.

• Open to active duty and their families, retirees, and DoD civilians.
• Trunks will be judged on both creativity and execution. Winners will be announced at the end of the event. There is no limit to the number of trunks a unit or patron may enter.
• Candy will be provided for all trunks.
• $200 in unit prize money will be awarded for each of the top five best trunks. Additionally, each of the individual winners will receive a $25 MCX gift card.
  • Prize money will only be available to MCAS Cherry Point active duty units.
  • Spouses of active duty Cherry Point service members are able to participate and win on behalf of their spouse's unit.
  • Non-active duty patrons (DoD civilians and retirees) are still permitted and encouraged to decorate trunks and participate in the event.
